How to Distinguish Good and Bad Quality LED Display

Many customers have questions when purchasing LED displays, how to distinguish between good and bad LED displays? How to check quality of LED display? Now there are more than hundreds of LED display companies , so how can we find good quality LED display supplier?

Full color LED displays quality can be checked from the following aspects.

1. Flatness. The surface flatness of LED display should be within±1mm to ensure that the displayed image is not distorted. Partial protrusions or recesses will cause a blind spot in the viewing angle of the display. The quality of flatness is mainly determined by the production process. SRYLED workers are all experienced, and we assemble LED panels with professional tools to ensure LED display flatness is within ±1mm.

2. White balance effect. The white balance is one of the most important indicators of the display screen. In color science, pure white will be displayed when the ratio of the three primary colors of red, green and blue is 1:4.6:0.16. If the actual ratio is a little bit different, the white balance will be deviated. Generally, pay attention to whether the white is blue or green. The quality of the white balance is mainly determined by the control system of LED display screen, and the LED chip also has an impact on the color reproduction.  

3. Color reproducibility. The color reproducibility refers to the color reducibility of the LED display, that is, the color displayed on the LED display must be highly consistent with the color of the original video or picture, so as to ensure the realism of the image.

4. Brightness. The brightness of indoor LED display must be above 800cd/m², and the brightness of outdoor LED display must be above 4000cd/m². Otherwise, it will be difficult to see videos and images clearly, especially under strong sunlight. 5. Viewing angle. The size of the viewing angle directly determines the audience of LED display screen, so the bigger the better. The size of the viewing angle is mainly determined by the packaging method of the LED.

6. Whether there is mosaic or dead pixels. Mosaic refers to the small squares that are always bright or black that appear on the display screen. The main reason is that the quality of the connectors used in the display is not good. The dead pixel refers to a single pixel that is always bright or black that appears on the display screen. The number of dead pixel is mainly determined by the quality of the LED chip. 

7. Whether there is color block. Color block refers to the obvious color difference between neighbored modules, and the color transition is based on the module. The color block phenomenon is mainly caused by poor control system, low gray level, and low scanning frequency.

8. Refresh rate. The refresh rate refers to how many times the screen image is redrawn per second, that is, the number of screen refreshes per second, in Hz (hertz). The higher the refresh rate the better, the more stable the image, the more natural and clear the image display, and the smaller the impact on the eyes. Refresh rate is mainly determined by IC. SRYLED LED display lowest refresh rate is 1920Hz, and for stage LED screen and fine pitch LED display, our refresh rate is at least 3840Hz.
